The Spatial Collection & Incident Recording System has been developed with the objective of streamlining workflows by the  services crew whilst improving the proactive reporting of maintenance and amenity issues at Hume City Council.

Q. What is Spatial Collection and Incident Recording System?

This software records every misuse or incorrect use from residential, commercial and industrial properties.

 

Q. How does this software works?

As part of the service, operators manually note down any issues of attention, such as derelict vehicles (usually blocking their path), overhanging tree branches, dumped rubbish etc.  Additionally, any residence whose  bin is overfull or has incorrect refuse is also noted.  This is a tedious process requiring additional stopping and handwriting and is not practised by all team members.

Yes. The software comes in package of tablet PC version and web module which allow the user to make report or booking based on the situation and the data provided in the database.

 

Q. Can I work offline?
Yes. The only time when the user is required going online is when tablet PC user needs to get data from the main database in the main server.

 

Q. Does it support multiple computers (tablet PC)?
Yes. The whole package (tablet PC, web module, and database) will be able to manage multiple users and will not affect the integrity of the software.

 

Q. What technology does this software use?
The tablet PC is developed using .NET technology integrated with GPS system to track down the current location of the user. It communicates with GPS, Bluetooth devices such as cameras, 3G modems.

The Web Module features Searching, Reporting, Dashboards, Administration functionality.
